Sarah (Iowa)-- Gothic!:Ten Original Dark Tales edited by Deborah Noyes. If you like reading dark stories, and you haven't read any good ones lately, you should check out gothic for ten short stories of all kinds. Be careful!

SarahB (Iowa)-- Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice. Rice is a wonderfull author. If you liked her movies then you'll fall in love with her books. It's all so dark and you can really see these things as being true. Of course it's a vampire book so if you like gory stories this is heaven on the page.

Ashly M (Iowa)-- Rose Madder by Stephen King. Rose Daniels has lived in hell for 14 long years with her husband, Officer Norman Daniels. Rose wants to leave to be able to live the rest of her life without the fear of dying at the hands of husband. But Norman has promised her, if she ever left he would hunt her done and kill her, painfully. Rose wants to get away from Norman but does she have the courage to defy him, and be willing to lose her life in the process?

Sarah B (Iowa)--Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause. For those of you who saw the movie the book majorly kicked the movie's butt. I really loved the opening quotes "I wondered here and there, with the taste of blood and chocolate in my mouth, one as hatefull as the other." The book is really different from the movie, it's still about a teenage girl (who happens to be a werewolf) and trying to deal with her pack after her father's death. and also fighting with her own nature when falls in love with a human. Blood or chocolate which shall you choose.
